McDonald’s

Project details

We have been working closely with McDonald’s Barnsley to create a ground-breaking initiative that marks the introduction of living walls and green roofs to the iconic fast-food chain. As the first McDonald’s location to feature both, this project sets a new standard for sustainability and environmental stewardship in the industry.

Situated prominently within the drive-thru area, our living wall and green roof provide a captivating visual experience for customers as they pass through. This innovative greenery not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the restaurant but is also a beautiful welcoming amidst the urban landscape of Barnsley.

Seeing a major brand like McDonald’s embrace eco-friendly initiatives is truly inspiring. By incorporating living Walls and green roofs into their design, McDonald’s is not only enhancing the customer experience but also making a positive impact on the environment.

One of the key focal points of this project was biodiversity. Our carefully curated selection of plant species was chosen to attract pollinators and support local wildlife, creating a thriving ecosystem within the heart of Barnsley. It’s fantastic to see such a big brand prioritise biodiversity and contribute to the greening of urban areas.
